“Oh, thank you,” Ringabel said, his eyes lifting from the journal in his lap. Tiz placed two cups of tea on the small outdoor table as he took a seat. He brushed the man off, saying his gratitude was appreciated, but there was no need to voice it for such a simple act.
As he sipped his tea, Ringabel tried to turn back to his journal, yet his mind wouldn’t settle and focus. Tuning out the hustle and bustle below from the inn’s small balcony proved to be a bigger challenge than expected. So, he uncrossed his legs and leaned back into the chair, letting his eyes take in the view around them.
